The Hawaii Multilingual Multicultural festival event is a fun-raiser. It aims to provide scholarships for all low-income students and World Languages educators to participate in global cultural awareness excursions to learn more about other languages and cultures. These groups will return home with the experience necessary to provide professional cultural developments to be integrated into their world language curriculum.

Who are we?

Cultural Awareness Foundation for Educators (C.A.F.E) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that organizes professional resources for educators throughout volunteers, donors and allies to mobilize FREE resources and support teachers in the integration of culture and diversity in their classes. We believe learning language through culture is the foundational pillar to empower children to achieve their language acquisition. We also recognize and support educators well-being as a precondition to fully unlock their professioanl goals to its potential. This one belief guides us and motivates us to fulfill educators with authentic resources, by providing videos, pictures, curriculum, cultural network connections worldwide, and guidance while encouraging others to become language educators to engage and enjoy their profession and many other opportunities available to them, including semi-annual exclusive cultural wellness retreats. 

We believe in education beyond the classroom, and we strongly believe in the strength of the link between culture and language.

The Cultural Awareness Foundation for Educators currently partners with others affiliate Non-Profit Organizations to support our teachers. Servicing over 500 teachers nationwide. The Cultural Awareness Foundation for Educators also supports and sponsors  small cultural projects projects in Latin America and the Caribean.  

MISSION

We serve all educators with professional and wellness opportunities to enable them to explore their cultural fields of interest through an integrated curriculum with authentical resources and activities for all learners. We want to prepare teachers to overcome their limiting circumstances and be able to access free available resources for their classes.

VISION

To create a sustainable approach in designing social impact programs on the development of the World Language educators communities.  Cultural Awareness Foundation for Educators focus on the education of both new teachers and career teachers. We strive to increase the opportunities for all educators in becoming successful in incorporating culture in their language classes. This will benefit both educators and learners, leading to the improvement of their curricula.
